Establishing core competencies for implementing successful construction projects in trading companies

Abstract

This thesis is dedicated to the problems occurring when trading companies are ″forced″ to act as constructors of their products in order to maintain or increase their sales. In this case, establishing a clear procedure of implementing successful construction projects in trading companies is very important. Understanding the major problems of the existing condition in implementing projects is one of the most important steps of this study. Ways to deal with the problems will be defined with the aim to create an effective procedure of implementing construction projects successfully. Solutions to this problem clearly set expectations as to the number and extent of construction projects that can be undertaken by the company, as well as the best tools and techniques used for their implementation. Business process re-engineering is being applied to the existing procedures of trading companies and recommendations for further development in this area are mentioned. The goal of this study is to determine ways for trading companies to gain customer satisfaction through a complete series of services.
