In Greek secondary education schools, the implementation of management is
done by the headmaster. The functioning of government schools in relation to other
organizations is particularly important due to the human factor.
On one hand, the director of the school, because of the position, is obliged to
implement the educational policy of the Ministry and to monitor the implementation
of all procedures provided by law.
On the other hand, the director of the school is the educational leader of the
school community and should carry the expectations of teachers and students.
The role of the school headmaster is critical should be both manager and leader to
succeed need to be trained in administrative skills and have specific skills.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that teachers are being assigned the
address of a secondary education school should know the principles of management
and leadership and has the necessary skills to implement them.
